Overview
ELOQ is a professional career preparation tool built by Think Growth Labs. We take your privacy seriously. Everything you share in ELOQ is private — only you can see it. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for advertising, or use it for any purpose other than providing the ELOQ service to you.
What we collect
- ·Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign in with Google, LinkedIn, or Apple, or create an account with your email.
- ·Career content you create — professional stories, career history, job descriptions you paste, interview answers, and evaluation results generated by ELOQ.
- ·Job preferences — details you choose to enter about the roles you want, which may include compensation expectations (for example, a target salary range). ELOQ uses these only to help assess how a role fits you.
- ·Voice and audio — when you choose to record or rehearse out loud, ELOQ captures your microphone audio to transcribe what you said and to help you practice. If you opt in to creating a practice voice, a short voice sample is used to generate it. See “Voice and audio” below.
- ·Billing information — if you subscribe to ELOQ Professional (on witheloq.com), our payment processor handles your payment. ELOQ stores only your subscription status and a billing reference — never your full card details.
- ·Usage data — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics about how the app is used, and internal product-usage records tied to your account (for example, which ELOQ features you use and the processing they involve), used to run, measure, and improve the service. No advertising or cross-site tracking.
Signing in
You can sign in with Google, LinkedIn, or Apple, or with your email address. ELOQ uses only your name and email address to create and secure your account. When you use a social provider, ELOQ requests only your basic profile and email — for example, it does not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or contacts.
How we use your data
- ·To provide and improve the ELOQ service.
- ·To generate AI-powered career intelligence using your career content (processed via OpenAI's API).
- ·To transcribe audio you record and to generate rehearsal audio so you can practice out loud.
- ·To authenticate your identity securely via your chosen sign-in provider.
- ·To process your subscription if you choose to subscribe to ELOQ Professional.
- ·To understand how the app is used so we can measure and improve it, using privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
Voice and audio
Some ELOQ features work with your voice, and only when you choose to use them:
- ·When you record or rehearse an answer, your microphone audio is captured and sent to OpenAI to transcribe it into text so ELOQ can work with what you said.
- ·ELOQ generates rehearsal audio using ElevenLabs, a text-to-speech provider, and stores that generated audio securely in Supabase so you can play it back.
- ·Creating a personalized practice voice is entirely optional. If you opt in, a short sample of your voice is sent to ElevenLabs to generate it; ELOQ records your consent and never creates a voice without it. ElevenLabs may retain the voice model on their systems until it is deleted. You can delete your practice voice in ELOQ at any time, and we also ask ElevenLabs to delete it.
Your microphone is used only while you are actively recording or rehearsing, and macOS asks for your permission before ELOQ can access it.
How we store your data
Your data is stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database platform with row-level security — meaning your data is isolated and only accessible by you. Career content you create is never visible to other users.
AI processing is handled by OpenAI. Content you submit for evaluation or synthesis is sent to OpenAI's API for processing and is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy. We do not use your career content to train AI models. Generated rehearsal audio is stored securely in Supabase and is accessible only to you.
Service providers
ELOQ relies on a small set of trusted providers to run the service. They process your data only to provide ELOQ to you, under their own privacy and security commitments:
- ·Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (the system of record for your account and content).
- ·OpenAI — AI generation and audio transcription.
- ·ElevenLabs — text-to-speech and, with your consent, creating your personalized practice voice.
- ·Stripe — payment processing for ELOQ Professional subscriptions.
- ·Google, LinkedIn, and Apple — sign-in (only your name and email).
- ·Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly, cookieless usage analytics.
What we do not do
- ·We do not sell your personal data.
- ·We do not share your career content with other users, or with any third party for advertising or for their own purposes.
- ·We do not use your data for advertising.
- ·We do not use your career content to train AI models.
Using a service provider is not the same as selling or sharing your data. The providers listed above (such as Supabase, OpenAI, and ElevenLabs) process your information only on our behalf, to deliver ELOQ’s features — not for advertising and not for their own purposes.
Your rights
You have full control over your data. You can permanently delete your account and the career content you’ve created yourself, at any time, from Account settings in the app (“Delete account”) — or by contacting us and we will delete it for you.
When you delete your account, we remove your account and career content from our active systems. Some information may persist for a limited time afterwards — for example, in routine encrypted backups and standard security logs, and with our service providers under their own retention policies and legal obligations — and is cleared in the ordinary course. If a request to delete your practice voice with our provider cannot complete right away, it is queued and retried until it is done.
If you created a personalized practice voice, you can remove it in the app. You can also ask us to delete any remaining voice or audio data associated with your account.
Cookies
ELOQ uses cookies solely for authentication purposes — to keep you signed in securely. Our usage analytics are privacy-friendly and cookieless. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of ELOQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
